Bachelorette Bash

The wedding is almost here and the planning is moving right along, but there is still one thing that needs to be planned... the bachelorette party!!!

Every bride needs a some time to relax and have fun with her best girlfriends.

Looking for something unique and different? Whether you are the maid of honor or the bride
planning the party - we have a lot of great ideas for you to plan the perfect bachelorette party!
If the bride is the kind of person who needs a relaxing weekend with nature, “Glamping” is the
perfect solution!

Photo 1.jpg

Just in case you are unsure, “glamping” is short for “glamorous camping.” Camping doesn’t
have to involve no electricity and sleeping on the ground. There are many places designated for
your perfect glamping experience. Make it a night full of s'mores, girl-talk around the campfire, and nail painting!

If you aren’t looking for a relaxing weekend but something more upbeat and lively, a music
festival is the perfect opportunity!

photo 2.jpg

This is your chance to see your favorite bands live and discover new ones too! Also, music
festivals always have a great selection of local food trucks to help make the break from that
wedding diet completely worth it! Music festivals may be fast paced but the memories are totally

Now if the bride is the kind of person who is looking for a balance between relaxation and a little
party, a cruise might be the perfect fit!

photo 3.jpg

Take a trip to the spa and lay by the pool with a good book during the day. Then go get dressed
up for dinner and go dancing at one of the cruise clubs! Another plus side is not having to worry
about food - it’s all included! Cruises allow you to have the best of both worlds and visit a couple
tropical paradises while you are at it!

Another option for a bachelorette party is taking a trip to an amusement park. If you want to
make it extra magical, Walt Disney World is always a great choice!

It is a great time to celebrate finding Prince Charming with your best friends! Make matching t-
shirts, channel your inner princess, and celebrate true love! Don’t forget to have a Mickey ice
cream bar! :)

Lastly, if the bride is someone who is looking for something more local and low-key,
volunteering is always a rewarding choice!

photo 6.jpg

Find a local non-profit organization and see what you can do to help! Whether it is serving food
to the homeless or working to build houses with Habitat for Humanity, you are sure to make a
difference! Volunteering for a day is something you could also do along with a traditional
bachelorette party! It is a great way to give back to the community.

Now that you’ve heard some of our favorite ideas for bachelorette parties, call up your girls,
create a pinterest board, and get planning! Most importantly, have fun and make it special for
the soon to be Mrs.

When Life Gives You Lemons...

Lemon headline JPG.jpg

School may be back in session for some but our summer spirit is not going anywhere! Watermelon and pineapple are all the rage when it comes to decorations and funky clothing but here at the White Room, we are obsessed with Lemons. (Well… maybe just one of us is obsessed with anything lemon). So why not show you how to have a lemon themed wedding?

-First I’ll help you warm up to the idea with a little color inspiration!

PHOTO 2-2.jpg

Yellow can be a bold color but you can easily tone with down with some soft greens, creams, and grays. We want to show that if you are not afraid of a little pop of color, then you can still gain that natural and romantic feel most brides are looking for!

To introduce your guests to your lemon themed wedding, give them a little sneak peek through your invitations!

PHOTO 3-2.jpg

Simple, elegant and still classy. You can’t go wrong. Just give a pop of the fruit through the envelopes or a simple watercolor design on the invite or RSVP card!

-Next is your lemon-print bridesmaid dresses! Just kidding ;)

PHOTO 4-2.jpg

Incorporate your lemon themed wedding with yellow bridesmaid dresses. A canary yellow from Bill Levkoff is always a good choice. You can even mix match the styles for what best suits all your bridesmaids!

-To feature your color palette more, you can use your bouquet as an opportunity to show that along with expressing that nature-esc feel.

PHOTO 5-2.jpg

The unbloomed yellow peonies are my favorite! They kind of resemble lemons but without the hassle of the weight. The touches of white roses are also a great contribution to add the classic and elegant feel.

-Now if anyone is going to wear a dress with lemons all over, it’s got to be the flower girl!

PHOTO 6.jpg

How cute is this little dress? It makes me want one in my size! Flower girl dresses these days don’t have to be traditional! Make it fun, summery and cute! (It’s also a perk if they can wear it again!)
-Now let’s bring in the real deal. Easy peezy lemon squeezy decorations!

Grab some something simple and beautiful like a bundle of hydrangeas or baby’s breath. Then fill a vase with lemon slices and you have your centerpieces! If you aren’t a fan of the lemon slices, you can always add whole lemons or even a few limes sporadically on some tables or near decorations to keep your theme going!

We love the look of this naked cake with the lemons for decoration! Now I love myself some lemon flavored cake but if you were wanting to go with something more traditional, you can always do that and use the fruit just for looks!

PHOTO 10.jpg

What better drink is there other than Lemonade?

You can set up a cute drink station with all different kinds of lemonade. Don’t be afraid to add some tea and water as well. You can still center the theme on lemonade!

-Last but not least, don’t forget to give your guests a little something to remember your lemon wedding!

PHOTO 11.jpg

What better way to end the night other than with a pun and some lemon drops? Something that is sweet and simple. Not to mention budget friendly!
With all that and a glass of lemonade, thanks for stopping by to indulge in our obsession with lemons!

So when life gives you lemons… plan a wedding!

Take me on a WeddingMoon

weddingmoon (plural weddingmoons)

  1. A combined wedding and honeymoon, with the wedding ceremony taking place at the couple's vacation destination.

Brides more and more are saying no to the traditional “wedding” and opting to venture out and do a weddingmoon; taking the stress out of planning a wedding and a honeymoon and just planning one!

With no traditional wedding many brides worry that they do not need a wedding gown and we beg to differ! Here are some of our choices that appeal for different types of wedding moons!

Ocean breeze can transfer any flowing tulle to new levels making for dramatic photos and ease through travel!

From VIP to VIB

From VIP to VIB...

Every year we look forward to seeing our favorite celebrities getting married! From Pippa
Middleton to Julianne Hough, we can’t help but anxiously wait for that magazine article to come out to see all the details of their big day… especially the wedding dress!!! It’s impossible to not fall in love with all the gowns they are wearing. So how can you get the look of a custom made dress without breaking the bank? We have your answer. Our designers carry a wide variety of styles that you are sure to fall in love with. Here is a list of a few of our favorite celebrity wedding dresses with their “long lost twins” that we have in our boutique for you to try on to become that VIB – Very important Bride.--

-First we will start off with our newest newlywed: Audrina Patridge! Audrina (pictured left) got married
November of 2016 in a low-back fitted boho-style dress.

Is this your dream dress but you are looking to stay on a budget? Check out this Essense of Australia dress. (Pictured right). The train is to die for! Not only does it come in your two-tone color like the picture, but it also comes in more classic colors for our traditional brides!

-Next is the adored Anna Camp! Can you “aca-believe” how beautiful she looks? Her whimsical
ballgown reminds us of our WToo gown with a corset style bodice and horsehair trimmed skirt! (Pictured right)

We love how delicate this gown is with the hand sewn flowers that flow down the back into the train.  It’s the perfect combination of traditional and bohemian! The best of both worlds.

-Now we have the goregous Allison Williams who quickly jumped into the spotlight with the hit show:
Girls. We cannot stop obsessing over her custom made gown! (Pictured left). If you are a bride looking
for sleeves and delicate details, look no futher. We are now carrying San Patrick’s La Sposa collection.
We cannot (and will not) stop dreaming over this next gown! (Pictured right)

This La Sposa wedding gown would be perfect for your fall or winter wedding. The lace detail on the bodice just looks like it is painted on your skin! It is what our pinterest dreams are made of.

-Next up we have the stunning Gabrielle Union! Mark our words, her wedding gown will never go out
of style. Union tied the knot in 2014 and we are still in love with her dress! The classic ballgown and
sweetheart neckline will always be a go-to gown for our brides looking for pure elegance.

Gabrielle’s dress inspired us to feature our Mori Lee gown. (Pictured right). Love the look but not a fan of the silk fabric Union chose? Mori Lee is great for offering a variety of fabrics from Satin to Organza to Tulle. Even if you feel like you are missing something, throw on a sash with an embellishment or a beaded belt to really accentuate your waistline.

-Last but not least, we have the social media queen herself… Kim Kardashian. Kim’s custom made
mermaid dress feautured lace long sleeves with side cut-outs. It was perfect for her European wedding we all dream of having. With a hint of sexy and sassy, this gown has Kim written all over it. So if you are looking to channel your inner Kardashian and show off your curves, this Maggie Sottero will make your dreams come true.

With the sheer bodice and beaded lace sleeves, this Maggie Sottero embodies modern elegance. And if it couldn’t get any better, the double key-hole back has lace cascading down into the tulle train. Hashtag…romantic!

A lot of brides come in wanting to look like a celebrity. Our goal is to make you feel like one too!

Golden Girls....Pageant Edition

Still searching for the perfect dress for the upcoming 2017/2018 Pageant Season? We've got it!  We love pulling inspo from popular pageants like Miss USA and Miss Universe.  Here are some of our favorite looks we've recreated with gowns you can find at The White Room.

*Professional images taken from https://www.missuniverse.com/media/

Our first look is inspired by Miss USA 2017, Kara McCullough!!  We love this simple skirt paired with the beaded halter neckline.  To gain this look, we chose this halter Sherri Hill with an equally simple skirt.  Sometimes less is more!!

Our next look is inspired by the second runner up in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, Andrea Tovar. We are UHbsessed with the ruffles and intricate beading covering the gown. The gown we chose to recreate this look is a gold, two-piece number by Sherri Hill with iridescent beading to give it a subtle sparkle. You would definitely win first place in this one. ;)

The third look we have for you comes from the first runner up, Raquel Pelissier, from Miss Universe 2017. It’s obvious why she made it to top two – LOOK AT THAT GOWN! We are dying over the detailed beading, turtle neck, and front keyhole. We chose another Sherri Hill gown that has beautiful detailed beading to showcase your curves, and while it doesn’t have a high neck, it’s still sure to be a showstopper!

Our fourth and final look is brought to you by none other than Miss Universe 2017 herself, Iris Mittenaere, representing France. Long sleeves are always a winner in our book, and clearly the judges thought so, too. Rounding out our dupe looks is this gold sequin stunner. You already know our love for long sleeves, so we don’t need to tell you how much we love this gown! Your future will shine as bright as the sequins on this one!!

Whether you’re looking for these mock looks or something unique to you, we would love to help you find the perfect gown to take the crown. ♥

Leaving a Little Sparkle Wherever You Go

The wait is finally over!  The sequined bridesmaid's gowns have arrived at The White Room!! We just want to take a moment and praise the glitter gods for these Sorella Vita, Bill Levkoff, and Christina Wu bridesmaids' dresses.

These gowns give just enough sparkle to highlight the bride's beauty and any color palette!  With metallic hues from moody blue and black to our forever loved rosy pink and shimmering gold, these colors compliment any season.  Not only are the color choices stunning, but the different styles they come in are so unique!

Select a midi-length tank style, a front- gathered low-v neckline, a blouson design with delicate straps, or an amazing back view with a low cowl neck and cap sleeves.  These dresses give a pinch of glamour, a touch of sophistication, and end in a sparkling "I Do."

To Veil or Not to Veil...That is the Question

Once a bride has found her gown, there is always the question of whether she will wear a veil or not. Depending on the bride and her preferences, veil styles/lengths can vary from cathedral to birdcage, and everything in between.

Embellishments throughout or along the edge can help add the finishing touch to any wedding gown.   However, veils are not the only way to make a statement.  Today's bride is looking for unique options that helps her achieve the bridal look with simply a headpiece or hair decoration.  Pearls and crystals mix together to create a perfect sparkle that compliments and completes our bride for her wedding day.

Headbands, combs, and flower crowns have made their statement in the bridal world and we do not anticipate their departure any time soon.

Stop by either location today to find the perfect adornment ;)

The peplum is very much in style and for good reason! Peplum dresses are amazing at disguising a single dress as being a very stylish looking two piece! They are super flattering in all the right places and the short knee-length adds the perfect amount of a modern spin on a classic look!

A Whole New World!

Join us on a magic carpet ride as we escape away from our daily duties to focus on and fall in love with the sexy, yet classy looks modeled by Aladdin’s intriguingly alluring princess Jasmine in part three of our Disney princess inspired looks!

This princess is full of pizzazz, spice, and beauty all mixed into one! She is both beautiful and adventurous, which are two things we absolutely LOVE in a dress!

To capture the majestic looks she rocks you have many options, one of them being a classy, yet sassy, dual piece! Whether it is a separate top with a detached skirt, or a jumper with an attachable cover-up; feel free to show a little skin, (tastefully, of course!)

Now, this is the type of girl that likes to keep it simple but also change it up… with color! She sports a classic look in aqua, purple, and even a vixen red! By using any of these colors as a base you can begin to create your perfect Jasmine inspired look!

One other very important factor in this Arabian princess’s wardrobe is that she almost always appears with a head piece and the most elegant jewelry, so feel free to accessorize and don’t be afraid to rock some extra bling!

Stop by today or call to make an appointment and visit with one of our erudite consultants to help you try on and let your heart decide which dress is equal parts of princess Jasmine and you!
